(Revelation 3:9) sadly, you and many others derive your definition of what it means to be a jew based upon the notions of MEN. emile and i choose rather to take our understanding from GOD. there can be no greater JEW than Jesus Christ. his genealogy is secure, we know for a fact that according to the flesh Christ is the seed of abraham and the son of david, who was from the tribe of judah. now what does judah (i.e. jew) mean? if we read the last verse of genesis chapter 29 we are told: And she [Leah] conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the Lord: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing. (Genesis 29:35) so if you want to be given the name "Jew" (i.e. Judah), you must become worthy of the name, Now will I praise the Lord: if you do not 'praise the Lord' Jesus Christ you are NOT a Jew. if you call yourself a Jew and do not praise or give thanks to the Lord, you are nothing more than a blasphemer from the synagogue of satan, who falsely calls oneself a Jew. (Revelation 2:9) this is why it is of no coincidence (for he was speaking by the Holy Spirit) that St. Paul, when expressing what it means to be a Jew in the eyes of God, used the expression "whose praise is not of men, but of God." For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29) those who pride themselves on their alleged fleshly relation to abraham are praisers of MEN, and receive praise from MEN--for abraham is a man, as is moses. those who "will praise the Lord" as leah did in genesis, are the TRUE JEWS, which the holy apostle Paul was referring to, "whose praise is not of men, but of God." But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:48-50) if you want to join the holy nation of Israel you must put on the "circumcision made without hands" (Colossians 2) and become a disciple of Christ by doing the will of his Father in heaven. then you can become a true Jew like the holy apostle Paul who said, For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
