Directly promoting one's website on many threads will be against SI's rules. Plus it may be construed as spam. The prof has learned that a long time back when he had a different web portal doing some other promo. So he is doing this self-promo of his web site in an indirect way.
That is my understanding of this "Harvard Professor" tenured in University of Pittsburg. In may schools it is called sabbatical but may be Harvard is more liberal in allowing visitors to use their name.
A little bit of self-promo and exaggeration does n't hurt you know?

question: since many of your links are to google, which then posts links mainly to your own site, why don't you just post the links to your own site?

also: do you consider yourself a "Harvard professor"?

also: what exactly do you think the envoy called back from Japan was supposed to do in China, in terms of crisis management in the wake of "519 dead in Qinghai"?

Issue denials and stall - just read the wire reports.
