As I have mentioned before, I consider Bekker's 2nd book "Mobile Telecommunications Standards: UMTS, GSM, TETRA, & ERMES" (and in particular chapters 4,4, 6, 7, 12 & 13) to be a fundamental must read for anyone following mobile wireless and attempting to understand both the opportunities for, and the challenges faced by companies that hold IPR in the wireless arena.
