No problem. The last time I saw John Kerry I actually took the opportunity to tell him "you were 100% right about Iraq, so don't let them call you a flip-flopper, explain it clearly and make people understand". He promised to do so.

Kerry tried, but the rightwing was hammering him on the "you can't put conditions on anything, only black or white" thing. Flip-flopping. As if that was really true, or as if it would even be a bad thing.

What that was really about was trying to peg Kerry as a lefty liberal. And not let him move to the center. But against Howard DEan, Kerry was clearly to the center and accused of being "Bush lite".

Kerry won all three debates but he never really clarified this in the minds of the most simpleton voters. A shame.
