That was a plant not far from Utica that got hit by a #4 tornado. The guy who built the plant put extra large restrooms in the middle of the building and had them made tornado proof. 150 employees and not a scratch. Hard to believe after seeing the photos. While the new plant was being built he kept all the employees on the payroll and loaned them out for rebuilding tornado damage in the area.

Utica was a sad case. People ran to a stone tavern from a trailer court and went to the basement. 7 were killed and the tornado missed the court. The fire and police stations were also wiped out as was city hall.

I've fished with a bar tender from that bar. They call him Big Knob for his fishing prowness around the big knob of Starved Rock. I noticed he had lost a lot of weight, he had weighed 270 the year before. Knocked off 100 pounds in one year by only consuming water, air and mainly Vodka for one year.
