Regarding the left/right matrix, I repeated one question from my earlier post that I felt you gave a facile and irrelevant answer to: I didn't give an answer. It's a gotcha question. I gather you consider your two examples as ones in which the state was absent; however, counter examples of the state guiding development are abundant. But the serious questions would be in what way, under what conditions, with what outcomes. Very long discussion. That doesn't interest me. If you wish to foster it here with others, go right ahead.
