For what it's worth...I paid $79 for Tiger ($50 rebate from Microcenter). That particular rebate was time limited, but I am sure there are similar deals to be found. And I fail to see any utility in using Disk Warrior.

So I don't understand this need to pay $200-228 for this upgrade. Everything is working fine for me. Tiger is required for many of the newest apps (e.g., Final Cut Studio).

But, I suppose if you look hard enough, you can find a reason not to buy.

This is all news to you!?

I have not been able to smooth sail without DiskWarrior since it came out, about half a decade ago. All updates since then have been free instant downloads. Should have been bundled with the OS (especially OSX) from the gitgo. And repairing permissions with Disk Utility about once a week has been standard procedure since OSX came out.

You just wake up from a five year slumber, or what!?
