The NRA is a very successful grassroots lobby because it doesn't go off on tangents (very often).

I don't think personal machine guns are needed in any case. All the arguments I've seen have been for other than machine guns.

The NRA defends the second amendment and as long as we have that we are free.

I used to belong, until they got all weird, and wanted to defend our right to own machine guns (what's next, tanks and bombs?).
