If my memory serves me correctly the West Bankers were very happy at first after the 1967 war. This was pre-settlement and pre-arafat terrorism and things on the ground seemed to be getting better for those folks. Is this an incorrect memory? Actually iraq looks similar. Reasons for hope ultimatley undone by terrorism and corruption--just sub arafat for zarquawi. Hopefully iraq will not have to go thru what happened to wb over last 38 years.
