How old are you? Like Methusela? I know what you are saying about daily routine, though. By the time we reach middle age, our houses are usually very nurturing and comfortable and warm. When we travel we usually rent a nice house for a week, and make day trips. Hotels can be very anonymous and alienating and not comforting at all. But I saw the sweetest thing on a flight back from Ireland several years ago. A very old woman, probably early nineties but healthy and spry, was on the flight. It looked like she had either hired a very young woman as a traveling companion, or it was a relative. The old woman was beaming with excitement at her journey. She wanted the young woman to hold her hand when we were landing, because she was a little frightened, and to steady her walk down the aisle, but her look of adventure and accomplishment were really inspiring to me.
