I too, think there will be a 'ramp down' period. Besides, your brother has 10-15 years or more to save money for retirement. I know. We are there too....and are still working. Not only for money, but for life longevity....

Most large companies will tell you that the average retiree lives 19-24 months after retirement and then dies.

Especially if there is no hobby, or interest that the person has.

Check it out for yourself....We have, and know that the average number of months after retirement is a VERY worrisome number.
