Legg Mason reiterates Buy for VSEA and AMAT Legg Mason reiterates Buy ratings for both Varian Semiconductor (VSEA 40.90 -0.36) and Applied Materials (AMAT 16.66, -0.03) as firm believes that both VSEA and AMAT will gain market share in the high current space at the expense of Axcelis (ACLS 6.50, -0.08). Firm states that VSEA and MAT remain their top selections in the small/mid cap space and large cap segment, respectively.
