Europeans are soooh stupid.

LOL. Yep, what a horrible world it would be if people were so comfortable that they no longer had the urge to make war. You know, there was a time when such scenarios were considered "utopia"? Imagine that! Now, that was really stupid.

Once upon a time Germany was ruled by a coalition of left-wing pacifists. It was called the Weimar Republic.

Once upon a time France was ruled by a coalition of left-wing pacifists. It was called Vichy.

Once upon a time the Prime Minister of England was a left-wing pacifist, who believed in "peace in our time." His name was Neville Chamberlain.

As for "left-wing values," I suppose you must be talking about Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Fidel Castro, and all those other famous left-wing pacifists? Or do you mean Kim Jung Il?

As for me, when I say, "blessed are the peacemakers" I am thinking about the air-craft carrier groups. That's the real source of "peace in our time." Them, and the Marines. ;^)

When George Orwell, a genuine left-wing pacifist, talked about the future as "a boot stamping on a human face, forever," he was talking about places like the Soviet Union. We ended that, and not by singing "Kumbaya." And we are trying to end it in places like Afghanistan and Iraq and Saudi Arabia and Iran. Just give us time.

Eventually we'll get around to Mexico, and Central and South America, and, God willing, even Cuba.
