Minnesota state senator's son killed in Iraq 05/27/05 AP: Son of state Sen. Becky Lourey killed in Iraq Lourey, son of state Sen. Becky Lourey, has been killed in Iraq, a senate spokesman said. Details of the death of the helicopter pilot were not immediately available, said John Pollard, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Dean Johnson. As is to be expected, the senator is not from the Republican Party, dominated by the chickenhawks like Dumbya, Cheney, Wolfowitz, DeLay, Frist, Bolton et al. She is from the DFL i.e. Democratic-Farm-Laborer Party.

We Democrats support the troops very-very much. We are the ones who push for the funding which takes care of the troops and their families. The Bushies have slashed such funding. Who we do not support are the neocon armchair generals in their DC think tanks. Why? Because they have made collosal blunders and have lied to us on many occasions. Their entire excuse for invading Iraq was a big fat lie. They still haven't told us the truth. As a result, many US soldiers have been needlessly killed, wounded and over-deployed. Kerry would have run Iraq much-much better. Kerry also would not have slashed veterans benefits as Bush did right before he started his big bad war. There are always nut cases on the extremist edges. The entire smearvet group along with Anne Coulter et al are all extremist bigoted nuts who think anyone with a brain is a "traitor". The smearvets were basically telling us that any combat hero who isn't a rightwing extremist is a scumbag. Just like they did with McCain and Cleland. In support of a presidential candidate who went AWOL and lied about it.
