No. YOU made ME an issue. You could have just stuck to the topic. It is possible. I don't know a lot about assault weapons, and I don't think I ever said I did. I remember the term machine guns being thrown around a lot at the time of the Assault Weapons ban in the 90's. Clearly that was emotional rhetoric- but I think the underlying effort has merit. You do not need to attack ME to prove that the effort for the ban does not have merit. When you make it about me, you make it ugly, and you make it so I never want to discuss anything with you ever again. If that is your mission, then keep going. If not, separate issue from person (me)- and talk about your points, not me.
