Do you know the story about the sun and the wind? The wind and the sun had a contest to see who could get a man to remove his coat. The wind blew and blew, he tore at the man, he blew harder and harder, and the harder he blew, the more the man clutched his coat. Then the sun had his try. He smiled warmly down on the man. The man let loose his coat. He shone a bit more brightly, and the man unbuttoned his coat. The sun kept shining, and finally the man took off his coat, and put it over his arm.

It is that way with people. If you want to change minds don't treat people the way you are. It just makes people want to hold on to their ideas- and turns them off to even learning about yours. Of course perhaps that is what you want. If it is not, I would advise you to be more like the sun. Present your ideas nicely, and don't blow on people.
