Not that it matters one whit, but the dream ticket I could envision for the Dems in 2008 would be Al Gore for CinC and Gov. Mark Warner for VeeP. I really think Gore was spectacular in the two speeches he's delivered in the past year under the auspices of MoveOn. Gore has the gravitas and the grasp of the machinery to pull off a win. And he has the excellent motivation of seeking revenge. Actually, about the only thing that any chucklehead Democrat would need to do to win is fire every damn consultant imaginable. Starting with Bob Shrum and working down through Carville, Begala and all the other human detritus that infests the inside-the-beltway crowd.
