Long before you get to the concentration camp they operate there, the US military occupation of cubano territory at Guantánamo is itself a great wrong, and illegal under the law of treaties, being imposed by threat of force under plattismo ... then, 're-negotiated' in the thirties with a puppet government installed on the island by threat of US military force ... it's a holdover from the days of overt US empire, Castro doesn't even bother cashing the miniscule 'rent cheques', he's saving them up for a court case, and every day the military occupation continues this little tinpot dictator is being handed, free and gratis, a legitimate piece of moral high ground
