We don't always dodge the income tax bullet. As I said in my post.....we got hit hard last year, but we do fund our sep IRAs with a much higher amount than a regular or Roth IRA. And we keep our salary pretty consistent, only increasing it at the rate of inflation. Our dividends fluctuate according to income.

We would lose a huge advantage by not using a CPA. They are invaluable.
