It is an attack. You think I would lie, and you find it appropriate to say so in public. I find that one of the most disgusting attacks someone can make. So yes, it is a personal attack, and yes, I count it as one, and I am disappointed, and you are on ignore from now on, and that's the way it is.

Yes it is an attack on her. You have called her a liar, claiming that if she had ever been a member of the NRA she would not have used incorrect terminology. I could call you a liar for saying that. I don't do so, though, because I have no evidence (or belief) that you are a liar. I think you are merely misinformed about what it takes to become a member of the NRA, and willing to be rude (along with a disclaimer).

There are plenty of people who join the NRA out of respect for the Constitution and its Second Amendment and who have no personal interest in becoming weapons experts.

Edit: the link to the online registration form isn't a hot one, I see. But if you click on the gift membership link above it, on the words bolded below, you reach the third link I tried to provide above.

ManyMoose, it is not okay at Feelies to insinuate that someone is a liar. You can disagree with their position, but the fact that some of the guys here know more technically about guns does not mean that Ionesco was not telling the truth about being pro-gun or having been an NRA member at one time.

I am not sure why it is so hard for some posters to understand that personal attacks are not acceptable at Feelies.
