At first I thought you were writing about the '20s! In the House in 1930, the GOP had 270 represenatives and the Dems 164 (1 other). By 1932, it was even. By 1934, the Dems had 313 to 117 for the GOP. Just 4 years ...

But it may take only one generation to undo the damage that Reagan did. Take heart. The Tories are dead in England. Maggie Thatcher was the death knell of delusion (almost) in England. Junior is well on his way to repeating her feat with the American Reich Wing. Thatcher was buoyed by the windfall of North Sea Brent. Bush has no such windfall ahead of him.
