Here are the headlines from the Post as far back as the retraction and the top few paragraphs of the articles on the recent round, the Pentagon report. IMO they just don't support your case. They support his case just by existing. A handful of allegations of "Koran abuse" - some of which are as minor as "the guard stood over the Koran", "the guard touched the Koran while searching for contraband", and some of which have been admittedly invented by Al Qaeda prisoners who are trained to make false charges (there's a name for the virtue of lying to infidels in pursuit of jihad: taqqiya) - this simply should not be front page headlines, but a paragraph on page A19. You really have to ask yourself what sort of "news judgement" is putting it on Page One, day after day after day?
