So, we've decided to have a barbecue this Saturday at our place! We don't have a backyard, but if we open all the windows in the basement, we're sure to get a breeze going! (Walter Shapiro - please bring your Bronski Beat mix tape). But then Scott and I were watching some lads out on a date with some chickens in Hyde park and got to thinking how cool it is that chickens never get Parkinson's. It must be because they eat their own eggs. So we came up with some excellent recipes for the picnic. Enjoy! EGG SALAD SPREAD SURPRISE! 2 tablespoons celery, chopped 1 tablespoon green onion, chopped 1/4 cup fat free cream cheese, softened 2 tablespoons plain yogurt 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt 1/4 teaspoon dill weed pinch of dry mustard, salt, and pepper 6 hard-cooked masses of embryonic stem cells, chopped Combine embryos, celery, and green onion in bowl. Mix cream cheese, yogurt, and seasoning until blended. Combine cream cheese mixture and embryos until it's pluripotent. Cover and refrigerate. Serve on split hard rolls, bagels, whole wheat or white bread slices, or croissants. Serves 6. HAPPY FLOWER OMELET (low cholesterol version) 4 Tablespoons milk or water 1/2 teaspoon salt Freshly ground pepper 1 Tablespoon parley, minced 1 teaspoon chives, minced 12 chive blooms, rinsed and separated as individual flowerettes 2 Tablespoons butter4 tablespoons of trophoblast cells ( first separate from embryonic stem cells) Beat cells until they're totipotent. Add milk or water, seasonings, and minced parsley and chives. Melt butter in a skillet; pour in. When the edges of omelet begin to set, reduce heat. With a spatula, slash uncooked parts until bottom is browned. Then, sprinkle the flowers over the omelet and fold. Serves 4. Great for brunch! Scott would also like to mention that since stem cells can also help with spinal problems, these recipes could really be a boon to France, which hasn’t had a backbone since Oct 1415. "Hey, it's just stem cells, right? It's not life. And they're supposed to be good for you!" So true Scott! Have a really great weekend and hope all of you can stop by!!!
