"I believe they must pull back out of all Occupied areas, per UN resolutions." The same resolutions also peace from the other side. I recall that in exchange for a peace agreement with Egypt, Israel gave up the Sinai and evacuated settlements there. During the Clinton administration, they offered withdrawal in exchange for peace and Arafat turned it down. I understand Sharon plans to withdraw from the Gaza strip and evacuate settlements there - unilaterally.

BTW Iran is a signatory to non-proliferation treaty. Israel is not.

I think if they want to survive they need to not rely on the UN. That institution allowed their peacekeepers to be disarmed and sat by and watched while Serbian troops marched thousands of Bosnian men out to be killed and buried in mass graves. The UN had peacekeeping forces on the ground in Rwanda and pulled them out when the Hutus started their genocidal campaign against Tutsis and intermarried Hutus.

In the last few years 180,000 black Muslims in Darfur have been killed by militias supported by the Sudanese gov't. 2 million have been driven from their homes. I heard the numbers quoted on a radio news program two days ago.

Where are the Muslims rioting on behalf of their fellow Muslims in Darfur? There are none. Is it because of racism?

The UN will never do anything to stop the destruction of the Darfurians. France is a security council member and has assured the gov't of Sudan they will veto any resolution holding Sudan responsible. Naturally, the French oil company, Total, has oil contracts there. So does China, another UNSC member.
