I've gotten really tired about complaints about the MSM announcing casualties. If someone dear to me had died there, I'd expect to see plenty of ink on the subject. I understand your point about the incessant reports of casualties, but I don't know how they can not report them.

Nadine...Thanks. You have pegged the situation about the Media in general, reporting only a part of the story, the part that again dumps on the Pentagon, the Military and the United States in general. Most of us on this board would report the positive stories as well.....IF we could find any the Media has printed.

The outrage is in pretending to honor the troops, while carefully conveying the message that they died for nothing, at best, or a criminal enterprise, at worst. Obsessive body counts, inflation of enemy tactics and standing, and complete omission of US troops' goals or any strategic overview will have that effect.
