Smear me when you don't follow it and don't know. I'm not trying to smear you and I'm sorry if something I said offended you. I just have a perspective on some things that are discussed hereabouts that you don't have. I see patterns, too--patterns of group-think that couldn't possibly be visible to the participants. If you want to disabuse me of my perception, why don't you go back and tell me just where in the Post's coverage of this you saw what you alleged to be there. I listen to reasoned analysis. I don't listen to "everybody knows that..." when "everybody" is a bunch of fellow travelers. I also can't be swayed by to appeals to authority when that authority is a cog in the selfsame machine.
