I have been at SI long enough, though, to know how posters who do not consider all the nuances and ramifications of things can take the crack in the door that intellectual honesty leaves for them and drive massive missiles of closedmindedness and even stubborn hatred through it. I agree with that and have seen it many times, that's true. SI is speshul. I do believe that socio-political factors influenced making homosexuality a psychiatric disorder, however. Yes, mainly, I think, arising from religion. Certainly science wasn't a factor. I'd say that at a certain point the religious/social etc factors influencing psychoanalysts to project their unfounded notions into the Manual lost the war to the necessity to acknowledge that OOPS! there's no evidence there! Social factors played a part imo in raising the question for them, "Who sez?" I wish I WERE going to have fun this weekend, but it's not fun in the offing, it's work, unfortunately. 'night for real...
