Not that I'm aware of. And I honestly don't know a thing about the Pt. Townsend clan. Hubby has two books on his clan written by a fellow named H. Percy Blanchard. Both of them were published by The Covenant Publishing Company, 1930 London. The Pt. Townsend clan are not mentioned in either one. or are the clan in N.W Ohio.

I just saw an Animal Cops show on the Animal planet about the very problem of a raccoon mom and babies having taken up residence in a chimney. The animal control people were called and fortunately so. They warned the people to stay away from the raccoons because mom might be carrying rabies. The professionals removed the coons, vets checked them for rabies and other diseases and finding them clean, relocated the coon family in a tree in a far away woods. If the coons were infected with something, they could have passed it on to a family pet, too.
