The China paradox is going to bring out some mean currents in American politics; we want them to be a low-cost maufacturer to keep US inflation low and we want their dollars recycled into US Treasuries to keep interest rates low, but we want to complain about it at the same time.

Talk about a policy that fails the common sense smell test....not to mention leaving the US with virtually no leverage with a major world power.

Of course, we pretty much dealt ourselves out of the game as far as influencing Russia too - shouldn't be a surprise this time. But China is a lot more important to what happens inside the US, not just around the world.
