<Your attitude sure helps explain why the world prefers American dollar hegemony over European colonial hegemony.>

Snow, I'm still hegemoneying and I'm glad the world prefers my mercantilism instead of that of my European forbears, just as I expect the average Cherokee of the 17th century or maybe it was the 18th, prefers the more benign colonialism of the modern USA to that of your ancestors [assuming you have some from then - maybe you are a modern colonist].

My attitude is great and everyone seems to like it, buying CDMA flat out. Cool! Sending me loads of money. I hire Americans, Indians, Koreans, Chinese and others to get the CDMA ready and then people around the world buy it. It's a wonderful hegemoney.

<We'll hold your coat if you want to go back into Zimbabwe and have another go at it>

Who is "we"? And I have never been to Zimbabwe, or Rhodesia, though I have met some very nice Rhodesians. I'd be happy to take over as Emperor of Zimbabwe if they want me to. I'd require a 70% vote but wouldn't need a salary, so they'd save some money right there. I'd install a Globalstar gateway and provide telecommunications services over a wide area.

Robert the racist seems to have messed things up quite badly, terrorizing the people who were producing the goods. It would be easy to take over from him and make things better.

Maybe you are confused and think I'm British. Once upon a time, I was a British subject, but the UK dumped lots of previously British colonies and left us to ourselves. The Queen is still the NZ sovereign, so I'm not quite sure what the legal position is, but the practical position is that we are on our own.
