Oh John...the question is easy. "What is the definition of the "middle", and the definition of the "rich" as far as who pays what share of the taxes?" I have yet to see ANY politician define those groups as far as income levels are concerned.

It is my guess that the politicians are considering people who are making $70,000 or more, to be rich.

As far as the politics of it.....Maybe the only thing that all of us can do is be aware when either party is pandering for votes, and mentions the "poor, downtrodden" and "sock it to the rich"....and post comments and who, from what side of the aisle, made the comments.
