I did a similar thing with a self-propelled mower when I lived in Waldorf, MD with my son and his wife. I turned a corner too quickly and the damn mower threw me face down in the street. Panic on the block. I was knocked out but didn't break anything, except my pride hurt like hell, especially when an ambulance showed up, and I overheard a neighbor saying to another, "I wondered why he was taking a nap in the street". My daughter-in-law freaked out when she happened to look out a window and saw the crowd and that I was the center of attention, face down in the street. After that incident, I was only allowed to rarely use the mower, with supervision. Amazing how a senior citizen can go to pre-schooler status just by taking an unintended "nap" in the street.
