"squander our global goodwill" Are you sure there was all that good will in the first place?

When the world is with us, as it was in Desert Storm, we can do amazing things. Yeah, in that case, we left a tyrant in power because of "world opinion" - many Shiites in Iraq lost their lives because of that and world opinion didn't give a damn. Just like it doesn't over the 180,000 dead Darfur residents and 2 million refugees.

We have removed two extremely evil regimes - the Taliban's and Saddam's - pointless? I don't think so. And so do some folks in the region: Message 21371770

How people can convince themselves overthrowing homicidal tyrannical regimes is a bad thing is pretty amazing.

Good points X. That is you X, correct? :-)

They knew Vietnam was unwinable by us what around 20,000 US dead, but kept on until over 50,000 died, and what 2 million Vietnamese that we were there to "help".

People must speak out about things now, before they get even worse under Bush, and encourage him to the point where he starts up a draft again to invade say Iran and Syria. They are licking their chops thinking about.

There is pure evil in that group if you look at them sometimes. Especially Cheney and Rumsfeld.

We're a great country, and it was a mistake for us to squander our global goodwill in the mire of Iraq. When the world is with us, as it was in Desert Storm, we can do amazing things. When we do stupid things, the world will turn on us, and we will tarnish the reputation of our great country. There is nothing more patriotic than trying to keep your country out of pointless quagmires. Would that more people had done it earlier in the Vietnam war, and would that more people had spoken up before this war happened. Though with the misleading propaganda put out, I can't really blame people too much.
