Why would any decent person or organization say anything positive or even neutral about the Bush administration? Why would an international relief agency do so? That is not in any way their role.

We were late out of the gate on tsunami relief, and stingy with our first commitment. It is first impressions that matter, and Bush made a bad one. Very major public relations disaster that was. And with so many relief areas governed by Muslim radicals, our troops and ships were not popular in a lot of places we sent them.

I have nothing nice to say about American drug companies in general, although in specific there might be a few exceptions. They profiteer, they know for years their drugs are killing people before they take them off the market, and they charge Americans outrageous prices. Someone is going to have to help the Africans, because for a complex variety of reasons, they are too poor to help themselves. Do you honestly think the drug companies are developing AIDS drugs because they are altruistic? I think they are doing it to make money.
