Why don't you use others......say NBC or CBS viewers?

I don't see what that would accomplish. I was trying to count the number of people in the country who are bent out of shape by the perceived MSM bias. That's why I counted Fox viewers as a reasonable proxy. People who are still watching CBS are most likely not bothered by the bias so they don't count. There may be some portion of the CBS audience who are still watching CBS because they are gluttons for punishment or because they don't have cable, but there's no way to estimate them.

Aren't there other news sources that might give you a more accurate idea of social perception?

And I have another question.....why didn't all of those NBC, ABC and CBS viewers switch over to the cable news affiliates when they went 24/7?

Dunno. Maybe because they aren't news junkies so they're happy getting their news in the familiar half hour evening packets. Or out of habit.
