Feedster Gets Funding

San Francisco-based blog search engine Feedster Inc. has closed on an unspecified amount of Series A venture financing. Menlo Park, Calif.-based Selby Venture Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors Omidyar Network of Redwood City, Calif., and angel investors including members of the New York Angels. Feedster's angel investors include Kevin Hartz, co-founder of Xoom Corp., Joe Kraus, co-founder of Excite, Josh Kopelman, founder of Half.com, Scott Kurnit, founder of About.com Inc., Mark Pincus, founder of Tribe.net, and Narendra Rocherolle, founder of Webshots. Feedster is an Internet search engine and advertising network that searches the Web for user-defined information from blogs, news, classified listings and rich site summaries.
