He hid it? Not at all, imo. What is this about if not the decadence of NY/LA/Hollywood and its connection to the Smarties: Pish posh! That's two paragraphs out of twenty three. He used the word "patriot*" seven times to one use of "values." He so much as announced that the essay was about media patriotism. And if it was really about decadence, why did you lead us down that garden path about the seditionist media rather than glomming onto the decadence question? Pish posh!
