Peter, you are correct! And I insisted on spinal anesthesia. What I left out of the last post is that the surgical team really doesn't want patients to be awake and aware while in their operating theatre. <g>

If you follow your preoperative instructions, your stomach would have no contents to retain at the time of surgery. <g> - Holly
