We had a kid in sales office as a clerk helping process service station leases , and sales promotions. he got his degree and then his law degree. Law department said to him.. no job we required experienced Lawyers... He quit and a few years later i heard he was doing quite well in bean town. g

I later met some lawyers,, used to need them quite frequently in years past over various problems. These people were very sharp and aggressive.

He got the degree, passed the bar, and went to work for a large law firm instead.

Did the company insist that he pay back the cost of the legal education?

Many companies that pay for graduate education require a commitment for a certain number of years, otherwise the "gift" becomes a "loan."
