I have no argument there, although I do recognize that it also applies, inter alia, to the U.S. invasion of Germany in WWII. But we'll let that pass.

But that's not relevant to whether it's moderate to call the Bush administration fascist.

Fascism, as a political term, applies to dictatorships of a certain character. Whatever you may believe about Bush, he certainly doesn't qualify as a dictator in the correct political meaning of that term.

Now, if you just want to fling around terms without any relationship to their meaning, that's one thing. And it certainly applies to threads here on SI on both sides of the political spectrum.

But one would hope that in a Moderate forum we would use words correctly and accurately.

Or wouldn't one?
