Thx for the correction on timeline. You are right. It's 2 years, which makes my point all the more true. My point was that the only ignoramouses around here are the ones that think that nation building can be done in a year or so. Nationbuilding in Germany and Japan, where the people were ready to transform themselves into something better, took 4 years. What makes you think Iraq will be faster than Germany or Japan, especially when Iraq's people have zero tradition of democracy and weren't at all ready to take responsibility for themselves when we invaded?
