TP, A reduction in unwanted and abused children means the potential crimes never happen Interesting point about children that were unwanted by their parents - possibly resulting in worse care by their parents, and higher incidence of the children becoming criminals. I am not dismissing it. that is much better than just solving and punishing the crimes after the fact. I am not sure why you would want to downgrade solving and punishing crimes. The issues are independent. One is only hypothetical, the other (crimes not being solved and punished is real). Joe
