As I recall, this had three components. They kept talking about Saddam's missles without any mention of range. They also talked up that Saddam had UAV's (like Predators) that could be loaded with anthrax after being brought into range (he didn't). And then, the favorite, that he could give WMD's to terrorists who would attack us for him. All big lies.

He scared them by planning to accuse anyone who didn't vote for war in Iraq of being soft on terror. I think Tom Dashel was too clever by half, and convinced the democrats they could take the issue from Rove.

TP
