The problem there is that Amnesty International may or may not be filled with liars, conmen, thugs and traitors, while we know for sure that the Bush administratoin is filled with liars, conmen, thugs and traitors.

Therefore whatever the merit or lack or merit of Amnesty International, it is still vastly more credible than anything that comes out of the Bush administration.

A lot of people argue that quite a few of the Guantanamo prisoners were not Al Qaida. And a few of them were very young teenagers. That is one of the most ignorant articles I've read about Guantanamo in quite awhile, in fact.

Can you tell me why Bush relied on Amnesty International when its research and reports served his purposes? It is the same organization now that it was then. Only, how inconvenient! America has become a huge human rights violator.
