The prior mess (saddam in power) paled in contrast to the one we've created with the invasion.

To the extent that Iraq today is a mess, why do you say it's we that have created it, rather than the lunatic killers that are blowing up mosques, assassinating elected officials, and driving cars full of explosives into police stations? It would seen the perpetrators of the autrocities in Iraq are creating the "mess", don't you think?
