Well, does the motivation really make a difference....what Nixon did was atrocious....(although I agree an enemies list was nothing new or abusing the IRS, FBI, etc.) Nixon was stupid enough to write down his enemies list and get caught red handed in a coverup.....I don't think the ramifications which flowed from his resignation were easily forseeable (e.g., the holocaust in SE Asia). Whatever the motive of the leaker, Nixon abused his office and unlike Clinton Nixon had the class to resign.....
