The folks who worked for nixon loved him. Do you remember his farewell where he talked about his "sainted mother"? He was a poor boy in a rich mans game and the rich guys consistently got the better of him. And he was genius level smart on top of it but he went to Whittier not harvard. His dad wasnt Joe Kennedy who helped buy those votes in chicago in 1960. And the left and particularly the intellectuals never forgave him for outing Alger Hiss who turned out to be exactly what Nixon said he was. In a way he was done in by the excesses of Joe McCarthy and he was lumped in with him. Bobby escaped that lumpectomy although he worked for Joe Mac but Tricky Dick never could. Life is unfair.
