It makes the Muslims look like pikers.

Muslims killed over 600 Iraqis in the last couple of months, 150 of them police. The cost in terms of lost investment and destruction to infrastructure, public buildings, and lost oil revenues far exceeds $1 billion. Nice try.

It seems to me that the US needs to clean up its own house before telling others how to live [see above].

The U.S. has a lot of house cleaning to do, no doubt. However, the Muslims Middle Easterners are very busy not only telling the U.S. who we should support and who we shouldn't and who we should give money to and who we shouldn't, and then terrorizing our civilians at home and abroad. Well, I think the Middle Easterners should start to clean up their own house before they start to tell folks in the U.S. how to live our lives and what to do with our resources.

The thing the Muslims in the Middle East don't get is that the U.S. is strong militarily and economicly BECAUSE of our values and morals, not because we lack them. Muslims in the Middle East need to turn a critical eye inward and start to think about why their theocratic totalitarianism has made them the most backward and unsuccessful people on the planet, before they start blaming and criticizing others.
