I think 23 acres is allot of land and to have the lake front (is it lakefront property?) is an extra. I think I remember you talking about it in an earlier post (allot earlier) and I'm thinking you said it is in northern Calif?

Rural property isn't so easy to buy anymore. It seems to be getting more and more expensive. Our son looked at some property way out in the middle of nowhere (Lake Roosevelt on the Columbia River)............I mean there is NOTHING for miles and miles. A person used to be able to buy around there for $1000. an acre. Now it's up to 25,000-30,000 an acre and climbing.

I think the people in this country finally woke up and realized how valuable our nation, and its land is, and they want to own a piece before it's all gone. It's not hard to understand that land isn't being made any more (except on the big island of Hawaii -gg-) I know we got caught up and wanted to buy now while we still work and can get it paid off by the time we retire. I'm not even going to mention the practice of flipping property, which has made property that much more expensive.

In any event...............I think you should hold on to your property too and sell it in your old age if you haven't developed it and moved there by then.
