The fact is that one man actually went and fought, even if you think his medals were flukes. The other man got daddy to pull strings and landed a comfy job near home and was booted even from that, after he couldn't be bothered to show up for a blood test. And his performance in supporting his comrades still under after returning the States was SO NOTABLE My understanding is that the atrocities he testified to are common knowledge by now. Would you rather he lied, put a smiley face on it all, and helped to prolong a war that is also by now understood by all to be a dumb mistake overall?
